Giovanni D'Aliesio

Director of New Business, Electronics
Giovanni D’Aliesio has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University. He joined MDA in 1999 as a Digital Engineer and has held various positions from electronics hardware designer to lead unit engineer throughout many space programs and is currently the Director of New Business. During his time as an engineer at MDA, Giovanni worked primarily on electronic units for the International Space Station. He has lead projects for Dextre, Canadarm2, the Robotics Workstation as well as many other satellite systems. As of 2011, Mr. D’Aliesio became the Electronics Product Manager, responsible for generating new business in the space electronics market and developing solutions to customers’ electronics needs. Giovanni was also responsible for managing electronics R&D projects and overseeing the development of new electronic products in order to meet advancements in customer requirements.
As of 2019, Mr. D'Aliesio is the Director of New Business, Electronics, responsible for the front end of the business for all electronics bids and proposals.
